| Composed in Propellerheads Reason. This piece was such a great experience for me. This song grew out of a little 4-bar melody that I wrote
in an airport in L.A. Looking inwardly, it shows a maturity and evolution in my music making. It wasn't important for me to just "get a track down". I wanted it to have movement and depth. I really feel like I have achieved this. I personally love listening to this piece. |

I wanted to play around with some bit smashing. I ran the two main drum tracks through
a bunch of built in Live effects. This may have been one of the longest effect patches I
have done. The sound got a little crunched and unstable when I rendered the mix to disk,
so I need to do some more work on this. This is more of a conceptual piece and I am working
towards the final version. |

| Composed completely in Reason
using the default Reason 3.0 soundbank (there are a few Combis in there).
This piece was written after reading an article about how there can be melodies in songs that don't actually exist.
Alas the mind is a very powerful thing. I attempting to explore this by writing a peaceful melodic piece,
however I try to throw the listen's brain off by adding unexpected timing and notes. This may allow the listener
to hear the song as both the expected timings and melodies he "imagines" as well as what is actually writen. This
was a fun piece for me and I am very proud of it. |
